Strava Founder Fireside, YEY Awards and Startups Raising

Hey,

Hope you had a great summer. Before we head into October, we wanted to share a quick update on what we've been up to at LOI VC over the last couple months.

Strava Founder Fireside Chat

We’re hosting a virtual fireside chat with the founder of Strava, valued at $2.2B USD and reportedly preparing to go public. Join Ryan and Mark for a conversation on building and scaling one of the world’s leading fitness platforms. Register here.

YEYAwards.com

Thanks to everyone who joined our YEYAwards Retreat in Vancouver and Whistler last week. It was a sold-out event with some special surprises in the back pocket like magicians, robots and scandinave spa visits. You just had to be there. Save your spot for next year: YEYAwards.com

Recent Investments

Clockout (Currently raising) — Clockout is building the Zelle of Earned Wage Access, embedding on-demand pay directly inside bank and credit union apps with no employer involvement required. The company has 5 signed financial institutions representing $2.3M+ in contracted ARR, strong early adoption at TVFCU, and a late-stage pipeline representing roughly $18M in additional ARR potential.

Forged Operations — AI-native operating system for nuclear quality, helping operators, new builds, and suppliers manage document control, corrective actions, supplier qualification, training, inspections, and audit readiness in one platform.

Portfolio Companies Raising

Layers — Enterprise AI search, visual discovery, and merchandising built exclusively for Shopify Plus. At ~$200K ARR, Layers already powers high-revenue brands including Rainbow Shops, Gorjana, and Negative Underwear, has served 1.1B+ searches, and comes in up to 40% cheaper than legacy incumbents.

Spontivly — Decision-grade data infrastructure for RIAs, giving independent wealth management firms a unified view across their fragmented systems. Spontivly is converting early pilots into paid deployments and is working with an independent group within Raymond James as it expands across the wealth management market.

Village.ai — GTM is now harder than ever. Village is the relationship layer for GTM teams. They map every warm path your company already has into a target account across your team’s email, calendar, and LinkedIn, 1st through 3rd degree, then run sequences that open through the strongest path and waterfall to weaker paths until an account is cracked. Village is used by 14k users, integrated on platforms like OpenVC.app, Foundersuite, Simplify.jobs and is backed by Dharmesh Shah (HubSpot).

Happy to make intros if any are interesting. Reach out to arjunp@loi.vc if you'd like to connect with them.

Quick refresh

LOI VC invests $100K–$300K in pre-seed/seed companies across North America, primarily focused on AI-native software and enterprise tech. We're heading into the final stretch of deployment and still looking at new opportunities.

As always, if you have any companies raising that could be a fit for us, send them our way or to arjunp@loi.vc

And if you're in Vancouver this fall, we would love to catch up over coffee. Email Joelh@loi.vc for a tour of our new coworking space.

Keep building,
